Evaporative Check Valve: Description and Operation

Evaporative Emission Tube Shut Off Valve:

PURPOSE
The Evaporative Emission (EVAP) tube shut off valve is located in-line between the evaporative emission valve and the EVAP canister, mounted on the fuel tank by a bracket. It closes the flow path from the evaporative emission valve to the evaporative emissions canister during refueling to prevent overfilling of the fuel tank.

NOTE: The evaporative emission tube shut off valve is serviced as an assembly with the evaporative emission valve.
