Refrigerant Oil Addition

DURING COMPONENT REPLACEMENT

CAUTION: If an A/C system component is being replaced due to failure, the suction accumulator/drier must be replaced at the same time.

1. Pour new Motorcraft refrigerant oil YN-12b or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B into the component.
^ A/C evaporator core: add 90 ml (3 oz)
^ A/C condenser core: add 30 ml (1 oz)
^ A/C evaporator core orifice: add 59 ml (2 oz)
^ Refrigerant lines: add 59 ml (2 oz)

NOTE: If a refrigerant line bursts with a fully charged system, the addition of refrigerant oil may be necessary, with the amount determined by the technician.
