On-Demand Self Test

To run the On-Demand Self Test, follow these steps:

1. Connect the NGS Tester or equivalent to the DLC.

2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

3. Select the MODEL YEAR and VEHICLE.

4. Select DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK.

5. Select ECS (air bag Electronic Crash Sensor (ECS) module).

6. Select DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODES.

7. Select ON-DEMAND SELF TEST.

8. Press START and then TRIGGER.

9. The ECS will run On-Demand Self Test and display on-demand DTCs (reflecting hard system concerns) on the screen.
