Generator Bench Tests (95/130 Amp Generator)

NOTE: The voltage regulator is the only serviceable part of the 95 amp and 130 amp internal fan-type generator.

Remove the generator voltage regulator. Check continuity between all A circuits: top brush, A screw, and A terminal. Check continuity between all F circuits: bottom brush and F screw. If continuity is not present, replace the generator brush and terminal holder and generator voltage regulator as necessary.

The rotor slip rings should have a resistance of 2-3 ohms between them with the voltage regulator removed. Each ring should have infinite resistance with the generator case. If the above conditions are not present, replace the generator.
