Heater Core: Service and Repair




REMOVAL
1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Remove the instrument panel Refer to: Body and Frame, Interior Trim, Dashboard/Instrument Panel, Service and Repair, Instrument Panel - Replacement, Instrument Panel - Replacement





3. Disconnect the heater water hoses from the heater core.





4. Detach the antenna lead from the heater.





5. Remove the (A) screws and the (B) push pins and disconnect the windshield defroster nozzle connectors.





6. Loosen the A/C evaporator outlet duct clamp screw.








7. Remove the three heater nuts and the heater.





8. Remove the heater dash panel seal.





9. Remove the three heater core cover screws and the cover.





10. Remove the heater core.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
