Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments






1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.





3. Remove the (A) shift cable and bracket nut and the (B) control cable front clamp.





4. Rotate the manual control lever to the neutral position and loosen the two TR switch bolts.





5. Disconnect the TR switch electrical connector.








6. Connect an ohmmeter between (A) terminal A and (B) terminal H. Adjust the TR switch to the point where there is no continuity between the terminals by rotating the TR switch housing on the manual control lever.





7. Tighten the two TR switch bolts while holding the TR switch in place.





8. Install the shift cable and bracket nut to specifications.
9. Install the air cleaner assembly.





10. Connect the battery ground cable.
