Power Window Motor: Testing and Inspection

1. Key OFF.
2. Disconnect the window regulator electric drive in question.
3. Apply 12 volts to one of the terminals on the window regulator electric drive.
4. Apply ground to the other terminal on the window regulator electric drive.
5. Reverse the 12 volts and ground supplies on the window regulator electric drive terminals.
6. The window should move in one direction (up or down) when 12 volts and ground are supplied. When 12 volts and ground are reversed the window regulator electric drive should operate the window in the opposite direction.
7. If the window regulator electric drive does not operate as specified, replace the window regulator electric drive(s).
