Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the power outside rear view mirrors.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
^ Damaged mirror(s).
^ Damaged outside rear view mirror control.

Electrical
^ Blown fuse 4 (5A).
^ Damaged wiring.
^ Loose, corroded, or dirty connections.
^ Damaged outside rear view mirror control.

3. If the inspection reveals obvious concern(s) that can be readily identified, repair as required.
4. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and go to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
