Engine Code and Calibration Label

It is important that the engine codes and the calibration number be used when ordering parts or making inquiries about the engine.

ENGINE CODE INFORMATION
The engine code information label, located on the front of the engine, contains the following:
^ Engine build date.
^ Engine plant code.
^ Engine code.


EMISSION CALIBRATION LABEL
The vehicle emission control information label, located on the upper radiator sight shield, identifies the following:
^ Engine calibration number.
^ Engine code number and revision level.

These numbers are used to determine if parts are unique to specific engines.
