Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. The interior lighting system is a generic electronic module controlled system.
2. Verify the customer concern by operating the system in question.
3. visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage:

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
^ Damaged switch(es)

Electrical
^ Fuse(s)
^ Damaged wiring harness
^ Loose or corroded connections
^ Lamps
^ Circuitry

4. If the concern is not visually evident, receive continuous DTCs and perform an on-demand self-test. Record the results and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
