EGR Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION






1. Disconnect the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve vacuum connection.






2. Disconnect the EGR tube upper fitting.






3. Remove the EGR valve bolts and the EGR valve.
1 Clean and inspect the mating surfaces.









4. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Install a new EGR valve gasket. Tighten to specifications.
