Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

1. Connect Battery Charger to the vehicle. Use of the air compressor will drain battery if run for extended times.
2. Prepare the vehicle.
(1) Open any door.
(2) The 4-wheel drive is in OFF ROAD.

3. Run the On-Demand Self-Test.
4. Retrieve all DTCs.
5. Clear all DTCs.
6. Use the following active commands to raise the vehicle. Run the compressor for 30 seconds.
(1) FRNT FILL.
(2) REAR FILL.
(3) GATEVALVE.
(4) COMPRESSR.

CAUTION: If the air compressor runs in this test, do not allow the air compressor to run for more than three minutes. The air compressor could overheat and stop operating due to an internal temperature sensitive thermal breaker.


7. Use the following active commands to lower the vehicle. Lower the vehicle for 30 seconds.
(1) FRNT FILL.
(2) REAR FILL.
(3) GATEVALVE.
(4) VENT.

8. Retrieve all DTCs.
9. Clear all DTCs.
