Rear Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Heavy Duty Riverter:

SPECIAL SERVICE TOOL(S) RECOMMENDED

REMOVAL
1. Remove the rear door trim panel.







2. Disconnect the inside rear door handle from the rear door.
1. Remove the two screws.
2. Disconnect the inside rear door handle.







3. Disconnect the rod from the inside rear door handle.
4. Support the rear door window glass.







5. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







6. Disconnect the power window electrical connector.







7. Drill out the window regulator rivets.







8. Remove the rear door window regulator. Slide the regulator arms off of the window glass track.

INSTALLATION












1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.

- Use Heavy Duty Riveter to install the new rivets.
- Cycle the door glass to ensure gear engagement.
