Control Module: Description and Operation

This module contains two relays, L2H and H2L, which under the control of the Generic Electronic Module (GEM), shift the transfer case shift motor between the 2WD, 4WD HIGH, and 4WD LOW modes. When the control switch on the instrument panel is turned, the GEM recognizes that a shift has been requested and activates the relays. When the shift motor reaches the desired position, power to the relays will be removed.
