Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor
DESCRIPTIONThe Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF) measures the mass of air flowing into the engine. The MAF sensor output signal is used by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to calculate injector pulse width. For transmission strategies, the MAF sensor is used to regulate electronic control, shift, and torque converter clutch scheduling.
SYMPTOMS
High/low EPC pressure, incorrect shift schedule, incorrect converter engagement scheduling and symptoms similar to a Throttle Position (TP) sensor malfunction.
DTCs
P0102, P0103, P1100, P1101.
