DT1 Low Speed ABS Stop

DT1 LOW SPEED ABS STOP

NOTE: Wetting down the area where the stop is to be performed will aid this test.

- NOTE: An assistant should be used to monitor the wheels during the ABS stop. Momentary lockup is permissible.

Drive the vehicle at approximately 6 kph (10 mph).

- Press on brake pedal hard enough to lock all four wheels.

Does one wheel lock consistently?

Yes
If the yellow ABS warning indicator is not on, go to the Symptom Chart condition Wheels Lock Up. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures

If the yellow ABS warning indicator comes on and stays on, go to DT7. DT7 Obtain Diagnostic Trouble Code

No
If the yellow ABS warning indicator is not on and one wheel does not lock up consistently, go to DT2. DT2 Check For Unwarranted ABS Activity
