Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Visually inspect the following components of brake shift interlock system. Determine if any of the following electrical or mechanical concerns apply.
- Kinked or bound shift lock cable
- Kinked or bound shift cable
- Damaged selector linkage
- Blown fuse(s)
- Poor connections
- Damaged wiring harness

2. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection determine the symptom(s) and proceed to the symptom chart.
