PC1 PERFORM ELECTRICAL SYSTEM PRECHECK

- Verify that all of the electrical connectors connected to the electronic hydraulic control unit (EHCU) and the brake anti-lock sensors are secure and free of contaminants or corrosion.
- Verify that fuse 14 (60A) in the engine compartment fuse junction panel is fully seated and intact.
- Verify that fuses 13 (15A) and 25 (5A) in the I/P fuse junction panel are fully seated and intact.
- Verify that the system ground eyelet is firmly attached to the ground stud and is free of corrosion and excessive dirt.

- Are all connections secure and electrical components fully seated and intact?

Yes
Go to Precheck Test PC2.
No
Correct condition. Go to Precheck Test PC2.

PC2 CHECK RED BRAKE AND YELLOW ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) WARNING INDICATOR SEQUENCE

- Key "OFF".
- Verify parking brake is not engaged.
- Key "ON".

- Do both indicators come on and then go off?

Yes
Go to Precheck Test PC3. PC3 - PC4
No
If one or both indicators stay on, go to Precheck Test PC3. PC3 - PC4

If yellow ABS warning indicator never comes on, go to Precheck Test PC6. PC5 - PC6

If red brake warning indicator never comes on, go to Precheck Test PC8. PC7

If both indicators never come on, replace fuse 25 (25A).
