Test Description

NOTE: The New Generation STAR (NGS) tester can be used to emulate the Super STAR II Tester.

This part of the testing procedure uses the diagnostic capability of the air suspension control module. There are three steps to this routine.

First the control module can be made to search the system for any hard faults or DTCs. After this step, the control module will display a code 13 if hard faults are found. If no faults are found, the control module continues on to step two by raising and lowering the vehicle to check the function of all electronic components. If there is a problem, the module will display a code 13 and end the test. If the system passes (code 12), the control module will enter step three. In step three, raise and push the button on the Super STAR II Tester. The tester will display any DTCs or a pass (coder 1) until the tester button is pressed again. Refer to Auto Test AM1 for the procedure.
