Sunroof / Moonroof Cable: Service and Repair

DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove the roof opening frame.
2. Remove the three sliding roof panel motor screws and the sliding roof panel motor.
3. Use a wrench to turn the sliding roof panel motor drive shaft nut and move the guide rail rearward enough to gain access to the roof air deflector screws.
4. Remove the two roof air deflector screws and the roof air deflector.






5. Remove the two guide rail screws.







6. Detach the drive cables from the guide rails.
7. Remove the two drive unit bracket screws.
8. Remove the drive unit bracket and the drive cables.
9. Remove the roof sliding panel cable guide cover retainer.







10. Slide the RH and LH closing assemblies out of the guide rails.







11. Remove the two guide rail assembly screws in the guide rails.
12. Separate the roof sliding panel rear guide plates from the guide rails by sliding them rearward.

ASSEMBLY
To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
