Cruise Control Servo: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the two speed control servo mounting bracket nuts.
3. Disconnect the speed control servo electrical connector.
4. Remove the three vacuum hoses.
NOTE: Label the vacuum hoses and the vacuum ports to ensure proper installation.
5. Remove the speed control cable adjusting clip from the speed control cable.
6. Remove the two speed control servo nuts and the bracket from the cable side of the speed control servo.
7. Slide the speed control cable end housing away from the speed control servo.
8. Disconnect the speed control cable and remove the speed control servo.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the speed control servo in the vehicle and install the two speed control servo nuts. Tighten the speed control servo nuts securely.
2. Slide the speed control cable end housing toward the speed control servo and connect the speed control cable end to the speed control servo.
3. Install the speed control servo bracket and the two speed control servo bracket nuts on the cable side of the speed control servo. Tighten the speed control servo bracket nuts securely.
4. Install the speed control cable adjusting clip onto the speed control cable housing.
5. Connect the speed control servo electrical connector.
6. Connect the three vacuum hoses to the speed control servo.
7. Adjust the speed control cable.
8. Connect the battery ground cable.
