With Manual Transaxle

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. If equipped, open the console armrest and remove the two screws that attach the console armrest base to the console armrest compartment.
3. Remove the console armrest base.







4. Remove the two screws that attach the console armrest compartment.
5. Remove the console armrest compartment.
6. Unscrew the gearshift lever knob.
7. Engage the parking brake.
8. Pull up on the console finish panel to separate it from the console panel.







9. Remove the instrument panel ash receptacle illumination miniature bulb from the console finish panel.







10. Disconnect the two cigar lighter knob and element electrical connectors.
11. Remove the console finish panel.







12. Remove the two instrument panel finish panel screws.
13. Pull the instrument panel finish panel from the instrument panel to gain access to the electrical connectors.
14. Disconnect the electrical connectors for these switches:
- Heated back window switch and light, if equipped.
- Rear window wiper, if equipped.
- Rear window washer, if equipped.
- Fog lamp switch, if equipped.
15. Remove the instrument panel finish panel from the instrument panel.

INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
