Technician Safety Information
WARNING:^ Never run the engine with one wheel off the ground, such as when changing a tire. The wheel still on the ground could cause the vehicle to move.
^ After market aerosol TIRE SEALANTS are EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE. Always question customer to make sure these products have not been used.
^ Alloys or metal surfaces with cracks are very dangerous. These components could fail without warning during inflation or later on the vehicle causing loss of control or personal injury. Destroy all parts that are cracked.
CAUTION:
Suspension Fasteners
Rear suspension fasteners are important parts because they could affect the performance of vital components and systems and/or could result in major service expense. They must be replaced with the same part number or with an equivalent part if replacement becomes necessary. Do not use a replacement part of lesser quality or substitute design. Torque values must be used as specified during reassembly to maintain proper retention of this part.
Hoisting Damage
Incorrect hoisting can damage steering linkage components and suspension components.
Vehicle Emergency Jack
^ Do not exceed the recommendations of Load Rating Capacity specified on the Vehicle Safety Certification decal located on door pillar.
^ The jack is provided for wheel and tire maintenance only.
^ Never run engine when vehicle is supported by a jack.
