Post Collision Safety Belt Inspection

Before installing the new safety belt assembly, the safety belt attaching areas must be inspected for damage and distortion. If the attaching points are damaged or distorted, the sheet metal must be reworked back to its original shape and structural integrity.
Install the new safety belt(s) using the appropriate instructions, then perform a functional test.
All safety belt assemblies must be replaced after a collision, provided:

1. The safety belt was in use at the time of the accident

OR

2. The safety belt was damaged by the accident (bent retractor, torn webbing, etc.)

OR

3. The safety belt attaching area(s) was damaged by the accident.
