E1 DTC C1198 Check Valve Coil, Ckt and ABS Control Module

E1 DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE C1198: CHECK VALVE COIL, CIRCUIT 495 (T) AND THE ANTI-LOCK ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE

- Key "OFF."

- Install the Breakout Box and Overlay.

- Verify the terminals at Pins 17 and 40 are clean and secure in the ABS control module harness connector.

- Measure the resistance between Pins 17 and 40.

Is the reading between 5 and 8 ohms?

> Yes
Go to Pinpoint Test E5. E5 Verify Integrity of Vehicle Wiring

> No
Go to Pinpoint Test E2. E2 Check Valve Coil
