Brake Switch - TCC: Description and Operation

DESCRIPTION:
The brake on/off (BOO) switch is connected to the brake pedal. When the brake pedal is pressed, the BOO switch has closed contacts allowing a voltage signal to the PCM. The PCM may release TCC when the brakes are applied.

SYMPTOMS:
Failed ON-converter clutch will not engage at less than 1/3 throttle.
Failed OFF or not connected-converter clutch will not disengage when brake is applied.
