Windshield Wiper/Washer Control

MIST
When the wash button is tapped for less than 0.3 second with the multi-function switch in the OFF position, the wiper motor will perform a single wipe without a wash. If the wash button is held longer (up to 10 seconds), the washer pump runs followed by three extra low-speed wipes after the button in released.

INTERVAL
For standard interval, the time between low-speed wipes will range from 1.5 to 20 seconds. If the speed-dependent feature is enabled, these delays will shorten as vehicle speed increases up to 104 kph (65 mph).

When the multi-function switch is in the Interval (INT) position:
- The windshield wiper motor makes single wipes separated by pauses.
- The control knob on the end of the multi-function switch sets the length of pauses (from 1.5 to 20 seconds).





- The length of pause decreases as the knob is rotated away from OFF and increases as the knob is rotated toward OFF.
- Push knob on the multi-function switch toward center of steering column tube to operate windshield washer pump.
- Windshield washer pump will run as long as knob is pushed in if multi-function switch is in OFF or INT position (up to 10 seconds max. at which point the wash pump is shut off and the wiper's speed goes to the 1.5-second speed interval).
- Windshield washer pump will stop when knob is released.
- Windshield wiper motor will run for three cycles then return to previously set operation.
- Wiper speed will correspond to the position of the MODE SELECT switch.

HI
This is the fastest wiper speed with no dwell. It is selected when the multi-function switch is in the HI speed position. If the wash button is pressed for 0.3-10 seconds, the washer pump will energize until the wash button is released.

LO
This is the slowest wiper speed with no dwell. It is selected when the multi-function switch is in the LO speed position. If the wash button is pressed for 0.3-10 seconds, the washer pump will energize until the wash button is released.

WASH
If the wash button is pressed for 0.3-10 seconds, the washer pump will energize until the wash button is released.
