Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Service and Repair






REMOVAL

NOTE: The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is located in the air cleaner outlet tube.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected or reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.

2. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring from the IAT sensor.
3. Remove intake air temperature sensor from air cleaner outlet tube.

INSTALLATION
Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
