Power Window Switch: Description and Operation

The driver's window regulator control switch has a one-touch down feature which allows:

^ the front door window glass to fully lower by pressing the LH front window regulator control switch to activate the front door window glass.
^ the front door window glass to stop while it is moving downward by pressing window regulator control switch to activate the front door window glass in either the up or down direction.
^ the front door window glass to operate without the one-touch down feature when the window regulator control switch is held down for more than one-half second and the button is released, which will activate the front door window glass.

When the window regulator control switch is held down for 0.06-0.32 seconds the GEM will ground the one-touch down relay coil and front door window glass will move to its full down position.

The one-touch down feature can be cancelled by any of the following actions:

^ GEM times out 6.9 seconds
^ pushing either side of the LH front window regulator control switch
^ GEM detects a stall condition at its current sense inputs
^ accessory delay system time out
