Power Steering Fluid: Service and Repair

1. Check and fill power steering oil reservoir to dipstick FULL COLD mark with Premium Power Steering Fluid E6AZ-19582-AA (in Canada, Motorcraft XT-1-QF) or equivalent.
2. Disable ignition system by disconnecting the ignition control module (ICM).
3. Crank engine 30 seconds.
4. Check fluid level and add if required.
5. Crank engine 30 seconds while cycling steering wheel lock-to-lock.

NOTE: Do not hold steering wheel on stops.

6. Check fluid and add if required.
