Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Partially drain the cooling system.
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.







4. Disconnect the engine harness from the water tube and remove the bolt. Position the heater water outlet tube aside.







5. Mark orientation of the CMP sensor electrical connector.
1. Disconnect the CMP sensor electrical connector.
2. Mark the orientation of the CMP sensor electrical connector.







6. Remove the Camshaft Position sensor (CMP sensor).
1. Remove the bolts.
2. Remove the CMP sensor.












INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
