Three levels of door lock control systems are available:
- Driver Door Only Remote System.
- Full Door and Deck Lid Remote System With Anti-Theft.
- Anti-Theft System (Mexico Only).

NOTE: The remote entry features will not function when the ignition switch is in the ACC or ON position.

The keyless entry remote transmitter emits a radio frequency called Transmitter Identification Code (TIC). The RAP module recognizes the TIC transmitted and grounds the appropriate door lock relay coil. TICs can be retrieved using New Generation STAR (NGS) tester.

NOTE:
- Driver door only remote system has no power door lock switches.
- The driver door only keyless remote transmitter can be identified by the words DRIVER DOOR ONLY stamped on the back of the transmitter.

The driver door only remote system power door lock is controlled through the Remote Anti-theft Personality (RAP) module by signals sent from the keyless entry remote transmitter. The RAP module receives the signal and performs the following functions:
- UNLOCK/LOCK driver door.
- Release deck lid.
- Panic feature (activation/deactivation).

To lock or unlock the driver door, press LOCK or UNLOCK on the keyless entry remote transmitter. To release the deck lid, press the TRUNK button.

The RAP module controls the panic mode functions. When the panic button is pressed, the RAP module sends a signal to activate the horn and parklamps for approximately two minutes and forty five seconds. The RAP module cancels the panic alarm if the panic button is pressed again or if the switch is turned to the RUN or START position.

The full door system power door locks are controlled through the RAP module by the LH or RH power door lock switch or the keyless entry remote transmitter. The keyless entry remote transmitter controls:
- UNLOCK driver door.
- LOCK/UNLOCK all doors.
- Deck lid (TRUNK) release.
- Activation/Deactivation PANIC alarm.
- Anti-theft features, if equipped.

To release the deck lid, press the TRUNK button on the keyless entry remote transmitter.
