Power Steering Fluid Cooler: Service and Repair

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect the power steering return hose from the cooler.





2. Disconnect the power steering cooler hose from the power steering fluid reservoir.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.





4. Remove the bolts from the power steering cooler bracket.





5. Remove the power steering cooler bracket bolt and remove the power steering cooler from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION








1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Fill the power steering fluid to specifications with Motorcraft MERCON ATF-XT-2-QDX or equivalent meeting MERCON specification.
