Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor
REMOVAL1. Partially drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the air cleaner.
3. Disconnect the heater water outlet tube.
1. Disconnect the fuel charging wiring harness from the heater water outlet tube.
2. Remove the heater water outlet tube bolt.
3. Position the heater water outlet tube aside.
4. Disconnect the CMP sensor electrical connector.
CAUTION: Do not turn the crankshaft or camshaft during the removal and installation procedure or the fuel system control will be out of time with the engine and possibly cause engine damage.
5. Remove the Camshaft Position sensor (CMP sensor).
1. Remove the bolts.
2. Remove the camshaft position sensor from the camshaft synchronizer.
INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
- Position the camshaft position sensor.
