Fuel Gauge Module (CNG): Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) module assembly lower retaining nut.
3. Remove the NGV module harness connector plastic shroud.
4. Remove the NGV module assembly.
1 Loosen the NGV module assembly electrical connector retaining bolt.
2 Disconnect the NGV module assembly electrical connector.
3 Remove the NGV module assembly upper retaining nuts.
4 Remove the NGV module assembly.
5. Remove the NGV module marine cover retaining screws.
6. Remove the NGV module.
INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
^ Be sure to install the NGV module harness connector plastic shroud to prevent water from entering the NGV module.
NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to learn the strategy.
