Plenum Chamber

Radio Removing Tool 415-001 (415-001 (T87P-19061-A))







REMOVAL
1. Remove instrument panel.







2. Install Radio Removing Tool 415-001 (415-001 (T87P-19061-A)) into radio face plate or digital audio compact disc player face plate. Push tools in approximately 25.4 mm (1 inch) to release retaining clips.

CAUTION: Do not use excessive force when installing Radio Removing Tool 415-001 (415-001 (T87P-19061-A)). This will damage retaining clips, making radio chassis or digital audio compact disc player removal difficult.

3. Apply a slight spreading force on tools and pull radio chassis or digital audio compact disc player from instrument panel.
4. Disconnect the connectors and remove the radio chassis or digital audio compact disc player.







5. Remove two Torx(R) T-15 screws retaining bottom of instrument panel finish panel to instrument panel and one Torx(R) T-15 screw retaining rear of instrument panel finish panel to instrument panel.
6. Pull instrument panel finish panel to release two clips left and right of A/C control and two clips on top of instrument panel finish panel.
7. Remove one screw retaining heater air plenum chamber to instrument panel reinforcement.
8. Remove one screw retaining heater air plenum chamber to windshield defroster hose nozzle.
9. Remove two screws retaining heater air plenum chamber to instrument panel. Remove heater air plenum chamber from instrument panel.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Tighten instrument panel finish panel retaining screws to 0.4 N.m (3.5 Lb-In).
