The secondary air injection diverter valves used in this electronic-controlled secondary air injection system direct the secondary air from the secondary air injection pump downstream to the exhaust manifolds.







Secondary Air Injection Pump - California and Greenstate Vehicles with Automatic Transmissions
The secondary air injection pump is:
- an electric air pump, which supplies pressurized air to the engine to aid in the reduction of emissions during the first 20 to 120 seconds of engine operation.
- controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
- remote mounted and incorporates a nonserviceable filter and splash shield.
