Autolock

The autolock feature will require the following series of events:
1. Ignition switch is in RUN/ACC and the autolock feature is enabled.
2. All doors closed.
3. The reverse lamp switch is activated by transaxle selector lever in REVERSE position or through REVERSE position.
4. Stoplight switch is released (switch opens).

NOTE: The door ajar state will be monitored continuously for 500 Ms after an autolock has occurred. If a door is opened again within this time period, the driver door will unlock.

After these events have occurred, the doors are power locked. Relock will require the following series of events:
1. The autolock activation events have occurred.
2. Ignition switch in RUN.
3. A door is opened then closed.
4. Stoplight switch is opened (brake pedal released).

NOTE: The door ajar state will be monitored continuously for 500 Ms after an autolock has occurred. If a door is opened again within this time period, the driver door will unlock.

After these events occur, the doors are power locked again.

The door may not automatically lock if the driver:
- shifts the transmission into gear without applying the brake pedal.
- shifts the transmission quickly into gear after starting the engine.
- releases the brake pedal before a door is closed.

Enabling and Disabling
To enable (or disable) the autolock feature, use the following procedure:
1. Turn ignition switch from OFF to RUN.
2. Press the door lock switch to the UNLOCK position three times.
3. Turn ignition switch from RUN to OFF.
4. Press the door lock switch to the UNLOCK position three times.
5. Turn ignition switch from OFF to RUN. A horn chirp should be heard indicating enable/disable feature mode has been entered. If horn chirp is not heard repeat steps 1-5. If horn chirp is still not heard, diagnose Autolock system using Testing and Inspection procedures.
6. Press the door lock switch to the UNLOCK position three times.
7. Press the door lock switch to the LOCK position to toggle the autolock/relock state. When LOCK is pressed, a horn chirp will sound followed by a long horn sound indicating autolock/relock is enabled, or no horn sound indicating autolock/relock is disabled.
8. Exit enable/disable mode by turning ignition switch to OFF. If the autolock/relock state has been changed a horn chirp will be heard.
