Electronic Door Lock Control System

The electronic door lock control system has four main components:
- Remote Anti-Theft Personality (RAP) module, located underneath instrument panel to the right of the steering column
- Generic Electronic Module (GEM)
- antenna
- four-button (hand-held) keyless entry remote transmitter

The door locks are controlled by the remote anti-theft personality module through the use of external relays.

The remote anti-theft personality module also controls the perimeter anti-theft system.

The door locks are wired so that the lock and unlock switches on the doors/liftgate can operate the door locks with or without a remote anti-theft personality module installed in the system. The door lock switches are wired directly to the relays that control the door locks.

When the remote anti-theft personality module operates the door locks, it provides a ground just like the door lock switches.

Operating through the remote anti-theft personality module, the electronic door lock control system performs the following functions when using the keyless entry remote transmitter:
- unlocks driver's door
- unlocks all doors and liftgate
- locks all doors and liftgate
- panic alarm
- issues interior lamps on (when unlocking) and off commands (when locking) to the Generic Electronic Module (GEM)
- horn chirp verifies when LOCK on keyless entry remote transmitter is pressed twice
- double horn chirp notifies when door has been left open
- deactivates a triggered perimeter alarm
- arms/disarms anti-theft system
- allows up to four keyless entry remote transmitters to be programmed

- driver door unlock relay
- all doors unlock relay
- lock all doors relay
- horn relay
- autolamp relay
- illuminated entry request output to Generic Electronic Module (GEM)
