Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Front

1. Keep grease or any other foreign material off braking surfaces of front disc brake rotor and external surface of wheel hub during service operations.
2. When handling front disc brake rotor and disc brake caliper, avoid deformation, nicking or scratching of brake pad and lining and front disc brake rotor.
3. If a caliper piston is removed, piston seal and dust boot must be replaced. Protect piston from contact with any metal or sharp edged object.
4. During removal or installation of wheel assembly, use care not to interfere with or damage front disc brake rotor shield or wheel cylinder bleeder screw.
5. Do not attempt to clean or restore any oil- or grease-soaked brake pad and lining. When contaminated, brake pad and lining must be replaced in complete axle sets.
6. Install the LH and RH disc brake caliper on the correct side of the vehicle to be sure the wheel cylinder bleeder screw is in the topmost position for proper purging of air during brake bleeding.
