The code within the "TR" space denotes the type of transmission installed.

MANUAL TRANSMISSION
R -- 5 speed overdrive (MTX-75)
W -- 5 speed overdrive (G15M-R)

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
L -- 4 speed overdrive (AX4S)
X -- 4 speed overdrive (AX4N)
Y -- 4 speed overdrive (CD4E)
E -- 4 speed overdrive (F4E-III)
