Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Remove battery and battery tray.
2. Disconnect upper radiator hose and remove fan shroud.
3. Disconnect harness connector C111.
4. Disconnect 2-pin power and ground connector C105.
5. Disconnect 2-pin pump motor harness.
6. Remove four T25 Torx head screws retaining module to the HCU assembly.
7. Pull anti-lock brake control module straight forward to clear coils away from the valve solenoids. Lift anti-lock brake control module out of engine compartment.
INSTALLATION
1. Carefully position anti-lock brake control module so coils line up directly with solenoid valves and push together.
2. Install four T25 Torx mounting screws. Tighten to 4-5 Nm (35-44 inch lbs.).
3. Reconnect 2-pin pump motor harness.
4. Reconnect 2-pin power and ground connector C105.
5. Reconnect 24-pin connector C111.
6. Install fan shroud and upper radiator hose.
7. Install battery tray and battery.
8. Perform system precheck to verify concern is resolved.
