DTC B 1352 - Ignition Key-In Circuit Failure


DTC B1352: IGNITION KEY-IN CIRCUIT FAILURE

B1352-1 CHECK PID IGN_KEY
1. Connect Rotunda New Generation Star (NGS) Tester 007-00500 or equivalent to data link connector.
2. Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
3. Access and read PID IGN_KEY.
4. Does PID read IN?






B1352-2 CHECK CIRCUIT 158 (BK/PK) FOR OPEN
1. Turn ignition switch to OFF.
2. Access Key-in switch Connector C276 at base of steering column.
3. Disconnect generic electronic module Connector C234.
4. Using an ohmmeter check continuity of Circuit 158 (BK/PK) between Key-in switch Connector C276 and Pin C234 of GEM.
5. Is resistance 3 ohms or less?






B1352-3 CHECK CIRCUIT 57 (BK)
1. Using an ohmmeter connected to ground, connect second lead to Circuit 57 (Bk) at Key-in switch Connector C276.
2. Is resistance 3 ohms or less?






B1352-4 CHECK KEY-IN SWITCH
1. With ignition key in ignition cylinder, use an ohmmeter to measure the resistance across the switch side of the harness Connector C276.
2. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
