One_Touch Down

The express down feature is controlled by the Generic Electronic Module (GEM) and a one-touch down relay. When the window regulator control switch is actuated to an express down position the GEM grounds the one touch down relay coil supplying power to the window regulator until the window regulator control switch is actuated to a different position or the GEM detects the front door window glass is in the full-down position.

The front door window glass is lowered by pressing the window regulator control switch from the neutral position to the first detent position. The front door window glass will stop when the window regulator control switch is released. To operate the front door window glass in the express down mode actuate the window regulator control switch from the neutral position to the second detent.

Pressing the window regulator control switch from the first detent position to the second detent position will not actuate the express down mode.

The one-touch function is halted if any of the following occurs:
1. seven seconds have passed since the command was issued
2. the down button is pressed
3. the up button is pressed
4. one second after the generic electronic module detects a stalled window motor
5. the ignition switch is not in RUN or ACC
6. the delayed accessory relay is de-energized

If the window switch is held in the down position for more than one-half second, the front door window glass will stop when the button is released.
