Note: OE does not show any alignment marks on the camshaft sprockets, there is a tab on the backside of the sprocket as referenced in Camshaft Gear/Sprocket Service and Repair.

CAUTION: The variable camshaft timing (VCT) sprocket has a rectangular tab on the backside of the sprocket which must align with the hole on the front face of the thrust bushing. Failure to align may result in poor engine performance
