FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM BALL JOINTS
Prior to performing this test, check the front wheel hub for excessive end play; go to Wheel Bearing Inspection-Front End Play.
1. Raise and support the vehicle so no load is on the front suspension lower arm.





2. Grasp the upper and lower edges of the (A) tire and move the wheel in and out from the (B) pivot center line.
3. The front suspension lower arm ball joint is worn if excessive movement is felt while the wheel is being moved.
4. Replace the front suspension lower arm ball joint if the movement exceeds 0.794 mm (1/32 inch).
