Installation







1. Use the floor crane to raise and position engine.
2. Align torque convertor studs with the flywheel holes.
3. Remove the Engine Lifting Eyes.





4. Install the two LH motor mount nuts.





5. Install the nuts.
6. Raise and support the vehicle.





7. Connect the Vapor Management Valve (VMV) hose connector.





8. Install the power steering pressure hose.





9. Connect the power steering return hose.





10. Install the A/C line bracket and nut.





11. Install the transmission cooling line bracket and bolt.





12. Connect the LH heated exhaust gas oxygen sensor electrical connector.





13. Connect the RH heated exhaust gas oxygen sensor electrical connector.





14. Connect the transmission electrical harness connector.





15. Install the bolts.





16. Install the bolts.
17. Install the starter.
18. Lower the vehicle.





19. Connect the two heater water hoses.





20. Position A/C compressor manifold and install the bolt.





21. On A/C-equipped vehicles, connect the A/C high pressure switch electrical connector.





22. Connect the engine ground.





23. Connect the PCM electrical ground wire.





24. Connect the PCM electrical connector.





25. Connect the engine electrical connector.
26. Install the radiator, fan blade assembly and fan shroud.
27. Install the engine air cleaner outlet tube.
28. Install the hood.
29. Connect the battery ground cable.
30. Fill engine to the proper level with clean engine oil meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C153-G.
31. Fill and bleed engine cooling system.
32. On A/C equipped vehicle, charge A/C system.
