Oil Pick Up/Strainer: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.





2. Remove the oil pan plug and drain the engine oil.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.





4. Remove the bolts and remove the oil pan.





5. Remove the oil pump screen and pickup tube and gasket.

6. Note: Clean the gasket mating surfaces with metal surface cleaner.

INSTALLATION











1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
