Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify that the concern is with the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) system.
2. Inspect to determine if any of the following concerns apply:

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
^ Incorrectly installed fuel filler cap
^ Loose or disconnected component
^ Damaged evaporative emission test port
^ Damaged EVAP canister vent solenoid
^ Damaged evaporative emissions canister
^ Damaged or pinched evaporative emissions lines or hoses
