Flow of Diagnosis

NOTE: If any concerns are noted with the speedometer, stoplamps, ABS or horn, address those concerns by referring to their associated system before continuing speed control diagnosis.

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the speed control system.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Damaged speed control actuator cable
- Speed control actuator cable not attached to throttle or misadjusted

Electrical
- Central Junction Box (CJB) Fuse:
- 9 (7.5A)
- 10 (7.5A)
- 13 (20A)
- Battery Junction Box (BJB) Maxi-Fuse:
- 10 (15A)
- Damaged wiring
- Loose, corroded or dirty connections
- Damaged speed control actuator switches

3. If the fault is not visually evident, verify the symptom and refer to Self-Test Diagnostics. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
